A convicted spammer fatally shot his wife and young daughter in an apparent murder-suicide Thursday while being sought after escaping prison last weekend, authorities said. A teenage girl was shot in the neck and a baby was found unhurt in a car seat inside the vehicle where the three bodies were found, Arapahoe County undersheriff Mark Campbell said. The relationship between the girl, baby and the escaped convict wasn't immediately clear.
The bodies of Spam King Edward "Eddie" Davidson, his wife and 3-year-old daughter were found in an SUV parked in a farmhouse driveway in a rural part of Bennett, about 25 miles east of Denver. All three had been shot, U.S. Attorney Troy Eid said. "What a nightmare, and such a coward," Eid said. "Davidson imposed the `death penalty' on family members for his own crime."
Authorities had been searching for Davidson since Sunday, when he and his wife drove away from a minimum-security federal prison in Florence, 90 miles south of Denver. Eid said that after Davidson escaped, he drove to the Denver suburb of Lakewood and got a change of clothes and cash. The house where the shooting occurred was not where the Davidsons lived, Campbell said.

Well, for starters If I think this guy deserved to be executed or not for spamming people's mail is my personal opinion which i'm entitled to. - But naturally I would be an idiot if I actually tried to get this guy executed for a crime that equals the same as robbery or fraud.
I wasn't being serious when I said he should be xecuted for spamming, I said that just to stress how much I hate spammers and general scumbags.
As for the issue of sane people committing murders - it happens a lot. The majority of murderers are classed as sane, thats why they go to prison rather than mental asylums.
Recently I have despaired at the large number of people I have come across who are all too ready to defend the rights of murderers, thieves and rapists, and who opt to give leniency to them and or are all too ready to class them as "insane" and use that as an excuse for their actions.
People are too soft these days and thats one of the reasons why crime is so high in many places. |

First thing is that this happen every day in every fuck big city , so bithing around this case like it was something special , i dont get it . This is in news papers every day . Even in safe city like mine.

This is what i think , i dont try to attack anyone here or some like that . | | | | No one here is taking this personally, they can't because no one here knew the guy. We're just discussing it because it a reflection of society today - and problems with society and law.
Of course this stuff happens everyday - but this is a particularly good case to discuss as it has quite a few interesting factors. (e.g he was caught before but he managed to escape + his sentence wasnt very bad anyway + also he never killed anyone before)

in the US most people behind bars are there on minor drug offenses, so the real brutal criminals who should be locked away for 20 years to life often get out very early...

I did say that people being too soft these days was just ONE of the reasons that crime is high btw.
I think there need to be strong deterrents and strong punishments so people are too scared to even think about go and murder/rape/rob someone. Not just sending someone to an "offenders centre" where they get to watch TV and play Playstation for 18 months, which we all have to pay for with huge taxes to feed and watch them - it doesn't make any sense.
Imagine how much money it costs the government to send a single murderer to prison for 20 years, feeding them and providing security etc ?... |
