The Tech Report has nabbed a fair amount of information about Intel's Core 2 Quad Q8200 over the pat few weeks. According to fairly recent rumors, the forthcoming processor will feature four 45nm cores clocked at 2.33GHz, 4MB of L2 cache, a 1333MHz front-side bus, and a price tag of just $203—about $10 more than what the 65nm, 2.4GHz Core 2 Quad Q6600 now costs.

As with most early rumors about unreleased CPUs, nobody said exactly when the chip might arrive. Fudzilla filled in that blank earlier this morning by saying Intel will introduce the Q8200 on August 31. Fudzilla's news blurb quotes the same specs we just noted, but it mentions a $224 wholesale price tag.
