Asus M3N-HT Deluxe/Mempipe Motherboard Review
Posted by Regeneration on May 22nd, 2008, 05:56 PM

Asus M3N-HT Deluxe Mempipe is one of the first motherboards based on new nForce 780A chipset and it should be adequate competitor to great AMD 780G chipset and to arriving 790GX. Asus offers, as many times before, exceptional product with quality design and great voltage unit. Rich bundle includes heatpipe memory cooler, additional fan for voltage unit and many more details that come as standard offer for Asus motherboards.
Asus M3N-HT Deluxe aims at wide target group with its integrated graphics, triple SLi and hybrid SLi functions, overclock capabilities and relatively high price. Only remains to see how wide will be that target group of potential users. First thing that got our full attention is new chipset.

New nForce chipset supports multi GPU regime and it is the first high-end integrated chipset (Crossfire would be presented from AMD for up-coming 790GX). 780G supports crossfire and similar to that is nVidia 780a that supports hybrid SLi, which allows matching integrated GPU and additional (discreet, separate) graphics card. Also it’s interesting to take a look into power saving possibilities of this motherboard. 780a will turn off discrete graphics card if you use only 2D regime and then will be active only integrated GPU.

Another motherboard ''equipped'' with a shitty Nvidia chipset what makes more heat than it performs.
