I have looked for decent driver for Assasin`s Creed , and after you post i got back to the 174.74 , and i very happy how it perform both in iq and performance , keepers for me.

I wuld like to see it modded by Rege.

I can confirm these drivers are just as unstable as all the other 174+ betas I've recently tried, again they have caused my games to crash (particularly world in conflict)

BSOD or C2D?

Unix I finally got around to comparing some drivers and 174.74 beta is the fastest for my setup. I tested 175.16, 169.44 and the 174.74 with 3DMark Vantage and they score almost 400 points higher than any others.

5543 -- 174.74
5234 -- 169.44
5128 -- 175.16

few BSOD but mainly it just causes everything to freeze/lock up mid-game and then I can't do anything at all except hit the power switch - most frustrating. But i'm hoping this is just a program issue and will be solved with WIC patch 1.008, but haven't had time to test it yet

ah - you will! and then ur gonna eat ur words. Its happened to me again - more BSOD - this time it is definately the display driver as I had the standard error message after a different game crashed this time "display driver has stopped responding and has recovered" followed immediately by BSOD. - is that definitive enough for you?

Trust me, these drivers have some stability problems and eventually sooner or later they will catch up to you...
