Known changes when slipstreaming to a install cd

XP Home and Pro will now be able to install without a CD Key.
XP Pro VLK WILL NOT have this function, being a preactivated product.

Considering the contreversy surrounding WGA, it is not installed with SP3, it is still a selectable update on windows update sites.

The speed boost in SP3 is still there i believe.

All I can really say is that it took 28 minutes from the point of starting the installation to the final Windows XP Pro SP3 Desktop.

I had no problems during the installation but have had to reset a few of my personal options (e.g. "Download but let me decide when to Install Updates" like options.)

Since I've not been playing games on XP for several months, I can't really even address the point of performance.

The SP3 brings not a Performanceboost. That are only all Updates after the SP2 in 1 Package & some small changes. No DX10, no Boost, nothing more, nothing less.

And...be sure, what you do. The original SP3 comes on April 28 / 29...here the Article of a big german Site:
