| | | Crysis 1.1 Patch | Crytek and Electronic Arts have released the first patch for Crysis. Crysis offers FPS fans the best-looking, most highly-evolving gameplay, requiring the player to use adaptive tactics and total customization of weapons and armor to survive in dynamic, hostile environments. Earth, 2019. A team of US scientists makes a frightening discovery on an island in the South China Sea. All contact with the team is lost when the North Korean Government quickly seals off the area. W8ing for patch no2 wich will probably tweak it even more and i've heard it will bring 4 new missions to the game SP campaign. | | | | damn i've been hoping for optimizations.
i can see why it's the slowest game around but no reason it should bring every gfx to it's knees.
gona try this asap! | | | | Halleluja!!!! I'm so happy I think i'm going to cry...! or infact maybe i should sue EA for selling me a game that I couldn't actually play for the first 3 months instead?
either way I want to cry... is that why they called it Crysis? |

| Quote | | | | | on my end its pure crap crippled my gameplay even more and now i have buggy sound splendid time to move on anyways this is one to be left till its up for the task.... | | | | The DX9 performance improvement is a LIE! | | | | i can't see a whole lot of performance gain from this update, like i had hoped for.
optimizing this engine is what they really need to address.
the float32 dude says he's going to make a version for crysis, he did bang up job on stalker for the most part... | | | | The level snow is still unplayable, even with the medium settings and DX9 mode. Feels like a slideshow, the hell with Crytek. |

| That's why it's never smart to go out and buy a game upon launch.
Edit: It's an even better reason to pirate before you buy. Demos are optimized to trick consumers into buying the whole product. | | | | You may joke, but this is turning into a serious problem and in the long run it will really damage the PC games industry very badly... | | | | the companioes are just rushing these games out the door so that they capitalize on the hype, if they waited the hype would die down and they wouldnt sell as well, in the gaming industry there is a saying; a great game that stays on the shelves is a flop, but a poor game that flies off the shelves is a sucses
ive seen so many games lately with blatent performence issues thats its not funny, there is no reason for these games to perform the way they do, the graphics arent amazing or revolutionary, there is just no reason.
I remember about 6-7 months ago i gave this warhammer 40000 game a go, i forget which one, but the game itself would have been great but the perofrmence was terrible, i mean this game seriously had a loading screen to load the loading screen | | | | Quote:

The second machine hits over 20,000 on 3Dmark6 the 8800GTS starts to shutdown at settings around 1600 resolutions and the second system it just kills.
They feel its poor coding in the program itself as I am others do ... | | | | Glad to see this thread!!
Maybe i'll put my 2nd 8800 back in finally!!
When they say they improved SLI, are they saying they actually made it work?
Because before it didn't work and I'm much higher in FPS in single GPU than SLI.
edit: Well this patch is pure BS.
i tried all the available SLI options, even added crysis.exe again in addition to the default nvidia selection and was unsuccessful on all SLI options.
using my settings of ultra high @ 1680 except shadows @ low and shaders @ medium i get :
single GPU = 44.5 avg fps
SLI = 25.1 fps
wtf |
