OCZ Vendetta CPU Cooler Review @ Pro-Clockers
Posted by Regeneration on January 8th, 2008, 12:30 AM

OCZ would like to take us back to the good ole days with their new cooler, the Vendetta. If you had to put the Vendetta in a class it would definitely be a tower type. The Vendetta stands tall being supported by three heatpipes surrounded by plenty of aluminum fins. The Vendetta is not the top of the line cooler from OCZ but more in the middle. So I would venture to say it is gear to take on the middle range of coolers from other manufacturers. How tall will it stand in our test?

The person responsible for the naming should be fired as soon as possible. I will never buy any product with a name such as "Vendetta".

Not really all that impressive in the results department and why did they compare it to a Scythe Samurai Z its a two heatpipe cooler why not the Katana2 ?

Second issue I see with this cooler and a few out there is compatibility with sockets besides 775. I paid 29CAD for the Katana2 and here is the support list for sockets ... don't see many reviews on this cooler maybe I should review it myself

Their English must really suck. They should have at least named it Vindicator. Which would symbolically mean that this cooling solution is their comeback. A CPU cooler that would vindicate their place in the world of aftermarket cooling. (Note: it does none of the above)
Mac wouldn't it be easier to list the types it doesn't support?

I thought that was the list for what the Sodimizer didn't support

Don't be too hard on OCZ for english Scythe spelled processor wrong 5 times on that list (check the link). Spelling and Grammar is getting to be atrocious in articles and reviews lately and there is no excuse for it. Every word processor program I have used at least has a spell checker
