Posted by Regeneration on November 28th, 2007, 02:20 PM

Nvidia has postponed its upcoming GeForce 8800GTS GPU from the original launch date of November 19 to December 11, according to sources at graphics card makers. The new GeForce 8800GTS 512MB cards will replace the previous generation GeForce 8800GTS 640MB cards with a 65nm process GPU supporting PCI Express 2.0, HDMI and PureVideo Gen2. The GPU will have 128 streaming processors, 970MHz GDDR3 memory frequency, 650MHz core frequency and a maximum TDP of 140W, according to the sources.

nvidia is now like a snake that has tied itself into a knot. You all realize this delay is because of the awesomeness of the 65nm cards? They want to sell some more GTXes before it's rendered Obselete (With a capital O).

Has anyone noticed the shortage of 8800GT has turned into a shortage of HD3870 (my friend wants one)? The only HD3000 cards I can find are the 3850 256 models. So much for better availability.
