Hellgate: London Review @ YouGamers

While "Hellgate: London the game", leaves a lot to be desired, "Hellgate: London the service" is just a train wreck in progress. The only positive aspect of the whole thing is that the multiplayer servers have stayed up reasonably well. Other aspects of the online service side feels like a bunch of newbies fumbling around, and I'm sure the customer support reps have their work cut out trying to untangle the whole US-EU account mess.

YouGamers is being too generous about this game. The only thing good in this game is the introduction video. The gameplay is a bit of boring, the first levels suck and not motivating. And of course, the graphics are terrible. First, even if you use DirectX 10 and maximum graphics, it looks like some old OpenGL title like Half-Life 1.

The textures are super poor, and for unknown reason, you need a high-end card to have decent frame rate. I’d give this game 5 out of 10 and I'm being too generous as well. The truth is:

Whoever made this game should be prosecuted for crimes against humanity! this game sucks ass big time.

I realized the game would be boring when I watched the gameplay demos. It looks like it's designed for dumb people. Maybe games like that sell more (Look at WoW).
