When you place an order with a participating vendor, you may also sponsor the cost of media for users who cannot afford it, such as people in developing nations. Consider participating in the Fedora Sponsored Media Program.

2007-11-01 Fedora Free Media Program November 2007 is CLOSED.
We reached our capacity for this month (100 free media requests). Please check back next month.

Pardon me but ROFL...! Ubuntu (The distro and shipit) >>>> Fedora

Edit: OK fedora is usually first with new innovative features. Pulseaudio is the future.

You can get as many ubuntu installation media as you need delivered right to your door for FREE. The service is called shipit. It's more reliable than regular post. Of course DVDs are more expensive, they should try delivering 1CD spins of fedora.

Really thats interesting and I see your point. Unix I haven't tried Fedora I have been happy with Ubuntu here and getting used to it. Is there any advantage to me switching to Fedora over Ubuntu ?

Everyone has their own personal needs and preferences. If you're comfortable with Ubuntu and it does everything you require it to do then stick with it.

My personal suggestion is to install Fedora on a separate partition and give it a whirl, try the new features, note the differences.

If you're still on Ubuntu Feisty I strongly suggest a clean install (not an upgrade) of Ubuntu gutsy.
