Zalman VF-1000LED VGA Cooler Review @ OCIA

Once again, Zalman has created an excellent product that does exactly what it is supposed to do and more. The VF-1000LED is a video card cooler that provides excellent cooling in silence. It is quite beautiful, if you like copper, with its large expanse of fins and heatpipes. At fan levels low enough to be inaudible, it dropped my load temps more than 30C under the stock cooler.



Installation was a breeze, or would have been had it not been the weird design of the PCI bracket on my video card. Zalman has provided their FanmateII fan controller to allow adjustment of the fan, though it would work with most any fan controller, and nowadays, most motherboard drivers allow for software fan control from the fanbuses. Even at full speed, the fan was well in the tolerable range for me.
