Creative Labs X-Fi Series Vista Driver 2.15.0004
Posted by Regeneration on November 5th, 2007, 07:14 PM

Creative Labs has released new Sound Blaster X-Fi drivers for Windows Vista. This download is a driver providing Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit and Windows Vista 32-bit support for Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi series of audio devices. This driver solves 4GB compatibility issues, loud speaker noise and improves OpenAL stability. However, from my experience, the X-Fi drivers are still unstable on Windows Vista and I’d recommend using onboard audio until the driver stabilizes.

The drivers are stable on vista 32, have been for a while. The drivers have been stable for most x64 users as well as long as you didnt have 4gb. Im personally using 32-bit vista, but finally now I can install x64 if I want without having stability issues. But as you said, I dont trust Creative´s X-FI drivers until I see they work like for a month without one "X-FI BSOD". But if people use 32-bit, they should be fine even with earlier versions of the drivers.

I would test it out

but know is gonna be a compete waste of my time!

quite and cool dont work on vista

and this is the quietest setup i ever had! (since install)
vista is a noisy beast

the only reason i have a vista install is the hope it might one day sound as good or better than xp

guess what
it`s way worse
