Anybody following the recent product releases from NVIDIA knows that they just introduced a €250 part dubbed 8800 GT 512Mb which performance on par/better than an 8800 GTS 640Mb. This makes it of course very hard to recommend any “GTS” product, unless their prices are radically reduced, but it’s unlikely this will happen, as the 8800 GT is already aggressively priced near the level of NVIDIA’s own mid-range products like the 8600 GTS.
