Radeon Omega Driver 3.8.421
Posted by Regeneration on October 25th, 2007, 12:09 PM

The purpose of the Omega Drivers is to provide gamers with an alternate set of drivers, ones that have more options and features than the original sets. The drivers contain optimizations, extra features (like OC capabilities), more resolutions and internal tweaks that can give users the edge in a gaming environment over the normal drivers, which are often tailored for synthetic benchmarks.

Do keep in mind that these are for XP/2K ONLY! Vista users need not apply.

Now off to run jv16powertools and put the 7.10's back on and set it up the way I had it ... I hate wasting my fucking time !!

Imageshack is down right now. I did post a question in the thread there.

Offhand, I think that file is related to the WDM files -- which Omega doesn't include in the package.

Been using them for the last 4 or 5 hours, no problems with the install and my AGP X1950pro works without any problems. Good work from Omega again, thanks. (only issue is i can select a resolution higher than 1440x900 which my monitor would not support)

Still losing AGP if i reboot rather than power off but thats the age old VIA + ATI AGP = crapness that either side can be arsed to sort out for you.

Re: the problem MacDaddy posted about: I got a response from Omegadriver:

"Why I always have to screw something up?
Is not part of WDM, is part of the display driver, when I was building the new install scripts for the AGP boards I skipped the file copy of the main display for PCIe, damn it!

The file is there, just not been copied to the main driver installation folder, I'll do a re-release, sorry for to all that had this problem. "

So, look for an updated release soon.

Tell Omega thanks Dyre was really looking forward to trying the Ray Adams tools for the first time with the new Omegas and was a bit frustrated when I had an issue.

I see the update thread tell Omega I threw him a cold pint and thanks for being so quick to fix the problem
