EVGA Ignores 680i Chipset Bug @ INQ

There is lightly simmering discontent in the EVGA bulletin boards over a bug in an Nvidious chipset on some of its boards.Users have been moaning for months that raid add in cards from P29 to P31 do not work with the beast. Some say that when on board Nvidia RAID is enabled the Adaptec BIOS won't initialise. However if there is Nvidia RAID then Adaptec works fine.

Generally however the belief is that the 680i chipset they will not recognise any add-on raid cards although the previous Bios worked fine. Reflashing so that they use the P28 works a treat, but it means that users cannot use 1333 Mhz support and other goodies. This means that reflashing is not an option for those who use 1333 FSB CPUs.

never been a fan of evga, id rather buy a higher quality card and just clock it up to evga speed then buy a factory oc's cheapie evga card.
