Posted by Regeneration on September 25th, 2007, 08:07 AM

PCLab.pl has published a full review of the AMD Radeon HD 2900 PRO GPU. This is the first review to appear on the internet, but it is written in Polish. However, you can still look at the pictures and benchmarks speak universal language anyway. According to sources, you can expect to see some more reviews later today.

Im a Polish so this review is perfect for me I'll try to write a few words about Ati's new card for those who dont understand the text. Firstly as everyone know the card's performance is very good and it's a little bit slower than 8800gts 320 but it's also a bit cheaper. Rumors say that the PRO cards are the XT models that wouldnt work with default XT clocks so they have been decreased, and that would be the only difference. However PClabs lab has tested HD2900PRO overclocking abilities and the result was shocking. The card not only works without any problems with XT 743/830 MHz! That wasn't all, when they overclocked it to 750/900 MHz the card was still working perfect and it was even more powerfull than more expensive HD2900XT!!! In the conclusion we can read that the card is very good choise and the only (-) are power usage ~200W and noisy cooling. That would be all

Nice probably means a much better price/performance ratio than the XT

Tweaktown has also reviewed it here.
Exceeds my expectations at stock speeds and it can OC past the xt.
So ATI finally does something(s) right.

now i want that =p

Good card, looked at the tweaktown review seems like an extremely well balanced and solid card. I always liked the PRO line from ATI because they always or mostly had a much better bangforthebuck
