ok, look, before anyone one installs this i wanna lay a few guide lines
Firstly, download and install all the latest vista updates, including the Reliability and compatibility packs.
secondly, ALWAYs remove the driver in safe mode and ALWAYS install the driver in safe mode, this causes the least installation issues
lastly, if errors ensue, don't automatically jump to blame the drivers, many senior members of various forums are running these drivers fine, so if errors are occuring, then it is either something, you the computer user has done, a conflict in installed hardware, or as another user of the nvidia boards pointed out, a device connection issue, possibly loose connections of a cable or usb device.
these drivers SHOULD NOT have the TDR and bsod issues that have plagued many people, and i will stress, that if you do get issues, please post as such, and explain the crash issue in detail, in a calm manner, screaming at us that it doesn't work will not get the problem fixed, and again, i can assure you, these drivers are nothing like the original vista releases.
the major problem of TDR appears to be the lack of driver files being cleaned up during uninstall and some members of the NV forums have found that deleting all the nvlddm.sys found on the system as a positive effect, when reinstalling, this is why i recommend the safe mode installation, whe the vgasave driver is used instead of the display driver.
