Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Demo
Posted by Regeneration on September 10th, 2007, 11:21 PM

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is a first-person shooter video game, and is the follow-up to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. However, it is set in the same science fiction universe as Quake II and Quake 4, with a back-story serving as a prequel to Quake II. It is the second multiplayer-focused game in the Quake series (after Quake III Arena).

it disappoints ... they changed very little from the betas
the most noticeable thing is the weapons sounds ... why the hell they are all the same

lol, the Demo is probably based off the beta hahahaha

Wow, this game sucks. It feels like some lame version of Battlefield 2142 but much worse. You can’t even change resolutions, you have to do it manually from the config file. The graphics sucks as well, I doubt anyone will buy it.

erm,Eran,I can change resolutions trough the game with no problems...
but the graphics do suck alot....

Why does everyone compare this to BF? It's supposed to be similar to the previous ET (which still looks fine after all these years and it uses the quake3 engine).

Previous ET looks and plays much better then Quake Wars, even graphics are better and the game is FREE. You can’t compare between ET and QW. ET is a WW2 MP and QW is Sci-fi (Why they skipped modern combat?) QW looks like a lame version of Battlefield 2142, but with bad graphics and low budget. The jump between WW2 and Sci-fi was a bad idea. I’d take D3's engine, and make some modern combat MP game - like Battlefield 2 instead.

Bottom line: ET > BF2142 > QW.

you forgot the BF2 ...

what you all moanign about, this is the demo, its not going to be as polished asthe final game, every demo i've ever downloaded has had graphical restrictions and lame sound effects.

anyone ever play the Need For Speed underground demo? 800x600 locked resolution with no anti-aliasing. Its a crap game even after the full release, but at least the final game was a marked improvement.

Just wait for the full release, this is gonna be my new passtime for the next six months.

the demo should reflect the finished product quality, that's why it's a demo
if not, call it a BETA

Early Demos for most games are based on Beta or an uninfished compilation.

Age of Empires 3 Demo was the same, once it went full release, an updated Demo was release

that's not specified in this demo

i would say, only for et fans, i was kinda dissapointed aswell, but being an etplayer i give it a chance.
