AMD to Release BIOS Update for Defective 2400/2600 Cards

According to DigiTimes, AMD has officially responded to the defective graphics cards claims at a Radeon promotion event in Taiwan. AMD has announced that no recall is needed to address these issues, and it will solve it by a simple BIOS update. Stay tuned for more details and download links for the BIOS update.

that's all well and good if the card owner is not a nOOb or will they have to take the card to the point of purchase and have them flash the bios

I doubt a bios flash will resolve the 'issues' with these two cards
