Asus, the brand owned by Asustek Computer, has been appraised to be the largest Taiwan-based global brand with a brand value of US$1.196 billion, according to the government-sponsored Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) at a ceremony to award the top-10 2007 Taiwan-based global brands on July 26. The top-10 Taiwan-based global brands for this year have a total value of US$6.74 billion, growing by 30.98% from that of the 2006 top-10, TAITRA indicated.
