Zotac GeForce 8800 GTX OC Review @ TechPowerUp!
Posted by Regeneration on May 30th, 2007, 05:09 PM

Zotac's new GeForce 8800 GTX OC Edition comes factory overclocked with clocks of 630 MHz core and 1000 MHz memory. This is a nice increase over the standard NVIDIA clocks, especially if you consider the small $20 premium and that you don't lose your warranty. For users who are not willing to spend a lot of money for a GeForce 8800 Ultra this card seems to be a viable alternative.

Very good card, very impressive performance for the price

However, on the all important power consumption the 2900XT wins hands down, well done ATI

what are you talking about the 2900XT took MORE power to run, over 9 watts more

plus the fact that the 2900XT was meant to compete with the 8800GTS, not the GTX

i'd hate to see what the 2900XTX will need power wise...

true the card rocks, but still to high priced to justify buying it, i would just stick with a 8800 GTS 640Mb and self OC

Agreed, more power req. for vastly inferior performance, but for the money I'd rather have a GTX than GTS640.

Good card, but in all honesty the best price performance you'll get is from a 8800320GTS, its my tip for the mid-range. I'd rather have an ATI card but for this round they've failed miserably apart from power drain, noise and heat where they pwn.
