Name the Game Contest Winner Announced
Posted by Regeneration on May 20th, 2007, 03:47 PM

First of all, I’d like to apologize for the delay in the announcement, it was supposed to be announced in an upcoming contest - which got cancelled by the way. Anyway, the correct answer for the Name the Game Contest is not Duke Nukem 3D, Red Alert ½ or Doom 3. No ladies and gentleman, the correct answer is Command and Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, which is also known as C&C 1 and Original C&C. The name of that soundtrack we used is nothing else then Act on Instinct by Frank Klepacki.

Act on Instinct is very popular simply because it was used in GDI’s first campaign mission. Like many of Frank Klepacki’s soundtracks, This soundtrack has been released to the public as freeware and you can download it here. So who’s the lucky winner? Well.. The lucky winner of the Name the Game Contest is: Jianfu W. from Richmond, Canada. Congratulations! enjoy your new card.

Frank Klepacki is known with his great soundtracks and Westwood had signed him up for almost all their titles. However, Command and Conquer 3 soundtracks were not performed by Frank Klepacki - maybe that explains why the music is so poor in C&C 3. Thanks to PowerColor for sponsoring this event.
