Gigabyte Technology on April 25 announced US$5 million in losses from fraud allegedly committed by a manager at its subsidiary in Ningbo, China. Chang Chaosong (transliterated from Chinese), the factory manager of Ningbo Gigabyte Technology, allegedly committed fraud by listing the company as a guarantor for a bank loan from China-based banks for a third party without permission from the head office of Gigabyte.
