I hope this driver will now support Direct X 10 .... They've been promising Direct X 10 compatibility though a driver upgrade for my G965 Graphics Chipset on my Gateway... I mean , I have 15.3 ( ithink) right now and it does an ok job with Video- the main function of the computer is to be a Home Theater PC.... I just can't play games that well (at all) with the low framerates lol..... Well, if they keep improving video performance and if that gets better- i guess i wont be needing a new ATI HD low end video card - was thinking of getting an ATI HD2600-- I guess in May when they come out .... But I can say that the Intel intergrated graphics G965 , at least with video, isnt that half baked(at all).... I hope they deliver (have deilvered- lol) on their supposed Direct X 10 compatiblity!

What do you think?

I think that Intel GFX sucks ass big time, and you can run DirectX 5 games at 10 FPS.

Yes, i can agree with you that Intel is horrendous when it comes to gamming- BUT- i do have to give them credit were it is due ... The video performance on the X3000 (G965) isnt that bad at all :O Even if it gets my Intel Core 2 Duo Cpu between 9-16% cpu usage when playing a wmv9 @ 700kbps @ 320x240 resolution- it looks pretty good on a HDTV - the HD wmv Video isnt that bad either... I guess for my purposes, (video playback) it is kinda* acccpetable- i say kinda because if those new ATI DX10 vid cards are the ultimate in video playback- which i have a very good feeling they are- i just may splurge 200 bucks or so on one lol ... but for the cost and the purpose-video- they do a pretty good job, EVEN with HD video- I gotta give intel not a kick, but a plus for that- but for gaming- i'm not going there LOL

Edward

It does suck when it comes to cpu usage lol
