Microsoft: "China sales data is inaccurate" @ CNET

Microsoft can only try and put a good face on some of the news on the Vista front, such as Dell's decision to bring back XP, for example. There's only so much you can say to make that sound good. But, Microsoft says that a report that it sold only 244 copies of Vista in China in the first two weeks is just plain wrong, the Softies say.

It's the fact that vista is a resource hog and has ridiculous requirements that deters most people from even trying a <1$ pirated copy let alone buying the damn thing.
