DirectX 9.0c Redistributable (April 2007)

Microsoft DirectX is a group of technologies designed to make Windows-based computers an ideal platform for running and displaying applications rich in multimedia elements such as full-color graphics, video, 3D animation, and rich audio. DirectX 9.0 includes security and performance updates, along with many new features across all technologies, which can be accessed by applications using the DirectX 9.0 APIs. Oh, and yeah, no April Fools this time.

I got it, got it installed, and found a much faster download link.

I'm getting downloads now on Comcast Cable at anywhere from 1.5 - 3 MBs per second. Yes, you read that right! That's 1.5 - 3 Megabytes per second...not megabits.

This was NOT an April Fool's Joke.

HOWEVER, Microsoft has withdrawn the download for some reason. The April 2007 release is no longer available until a 'fixed' version is ready.

I guess I should try to revert back to the earlier Feb release if possible. I don't have any idea what was broken.

UPDATE: I simply ran the FEB 07 release and it updated the files again. We'll see if it fixes anything.
