nForce 680i LT SLI Review RoundUp
Posted by Regeneration on March 26th, 2007, 07:37 PM

They succeeded, too. Nvidia's nForce 680i SLI reference design was rebadged and sold essentially as-is by the likes of Biostar, BFG, ECS, and EVGA. We were impressed by the board, particularly its ability to hit extremely high front-side bus speeds and to fully exploit the features and extras inherent to the nForce 680i SLI chipset.

Designed by NVIDIA motherboard is engineered for the extreme gamer and will be priced as a sub-$200 motherboard. The NVIDIA nForce 680i LT SLI includes dual x16 PCI Express slots with support for NVIDIA SLI technology and SLI-Ready memory. Engineered for best-in-class overclocking with overclocking and stability testing courtesy of NVIDIA nTune.

Today, Nvidia is looking to fill the gap between the 650i SLI and 680i SLI with a new product, the nForce 680i LT SLI. This chipset, which is a trimmed down version of the full-blown 680i SLI, is targeting the $199 price range "sweet spot" to compete against the Intel 975X chipset.
