just wondering what the best way to do this with multiple mice is.
i have a 1.1 and a 3.0 and want to have 500hz on both.
how can i make my second mouse 500hz? do i just run the Setup.exe from HIDUSBF's folder and select 500hz? or do i have to go through the whole signing thing as well?
thanks.

Win 7 64bit 7601, usb 3.0, Mx518, no setpoint driver
I've tried this so many times now but I cannot make it go over 125hz. I can't even get it to work by pressing F8 before windows boots and disabling it that way. All I can do is to set it lower than 125hz, I get 31hz and 62hz by just installing it and unplugging it.
I'm seriously considering buying a mouse that can force x>125hz.
Appreciate any help.

I tried using this to overpoll my intellimouse 1.1a and on windows 7 it worked great!
But now it just doesnt read the mouse correctly. I've used testmode with command line switches and disabled driver signing enforcement too, even replaced the HIDUSBF.sys myself in system32 folder. it /detects/ that its there but it just doesnt wanna work with it, and makes the mouse report as a "usb input device".
Any help or plans to update this, please reply :3 thank you for your time

the properties of the files read by device manager come from the MUI file, which has not been updated for SP1 (and post sp1 usb fixes)

Do the stuff as described here, after that.
After BIOS Screen immediatly start pressing F8 and select Disable driver enforce blabla and start that way. Maybe there´s a way to automatically start that way too. but atleast my MX518 works now!

| ZORRR | Device Manager problems with hidusbf.sys
Thanks for answer, Regeneration.
But I think I can do it with my "cheap mice"! Maybe cuz I remember how great it was in other system. So I will try to do it again, at Win7 x64 Ultimate.
I have one more question:
In hidusbf.sys file properties (right click -> properties on hidusbf.sys in system32/drivers) I can see that it has been signed by NGO. But when I found it in Device Manager(right click on my PC -> "Device Manager -> HID Devices -> I find my USB port -> right click -> properties -> Driver -> Data") I see that all drivers are signed in that folder, except hidusbf.sys!
It looks like:
[-=-] hidclass.sys (Code Signing: Microsoft Windows)
[-=-] hidparse.sys (Code Signing: Microsoft Windows)
[-=-] hidusb.sys (Code Signing: Microsoft Windows)
hidusbf.sys (Code Signing: Digital signature is missing) and I have no flag left to hidusbf.sys like files before have.
* [-=-] it's my try to describe that flag near .sys files! As I said, I have no one near hidusbf.sys and it says that it is not signed!
So main question is:
IS IT NORMAL, THAT HIDUSBF.sys SIGNED IN PROPERTIES OF FILE IN ..system32\drivers\, BUT IN "DEVICE MANAGER" IT SAYS THAT DRIVER IS UNSIGNED?!?!
If it's O.K. I will probably back to XP and try it on XP again. But if it's not correct, say me please what should I do to sign hidusbf.sys in my "Device Manager -> USB port".
My OS: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Thanks for answers, I hope someone will help me!
Best regards, ZORRR.

May I overclock by hidusbf this mouse - a4texh -x710BK?
Before I changed from XP to W7 I remember it worked, but now it's not working. Some people said that a4tech mouse can't be overclocked, but I'm sure that I done that in XP.
Who can help me and answer my questions?

I got this to work, May 24, 2012, after fussing with it for 4 hours. Some things that I ran into are indentical to those others saw, and here are the answers to a couple symptoms I found that were the same for others (for WIndows 7 64-bit 6.1 Build 7601).
The failure to install hidusbf.INF that shows up as a quickly disappearing window, then "nothing happens", actually was an install. It just installed so fast and the event completion banner disappears so fast that the impression was that it failed. When you see this, go on about the process.
When "Setup" opens the window and no device is there to select, try turning off "Mouse Only". For whatever reason some mice, including mine (Microsoft Optical Comfort Mouse 3000) don't show up as selectable "mice". Once I allowed the Setup to look at everything, my mouse was quickly found.
Setting the rate at 500 didn't appear to take immediately, as verified by Mouserate, even if I used Setup's "Restart" button. I had to "Restart" there, then reboot the computer to get it to take.
Be sure to Sign your /Windows/System32/drivers/hidusbf.sys file with Dseo after the install completes. I had to do that as well.
Hope this helped

^^^ same exact problem as miki, this is beyond frustrating, i've done this flawlessly on 3 different computers and today i have a fresh install of win7 on my new ssd and following the steps does not change my polling rate on my mx518.
Miki i tried using the USBPORT.SYS from my old windows install, but it says i access denied even though i have admin privelages and i have altered files in that folder before (to copy paste hidusbf.sys)

Have tried basically everything but the polling rate stays at 125hz. The mouse is MX518 and the OS 64-bit 7. I have also done this succesfully before on a Vista system.
I also can't even get the DSEO watermark to show up, is this normal?
Anyway I can do all the steps in all the guides from start to finish and seemingly everything is okay and the mouse works but the rate stays at 125hz. I'd really rather not do a complete re-installation, there must be a simpler way. The original readme of the HIDUSBF mentions that the original unaltered syster driver USBPORT.SYS has to be in place for it to work. Maybe this is the problem? Where could I download it?
Really at a dead-end here. Any help?

When that happens, plug your mouse in some other usb port, open the device manager and keep it opened. Now plug the mouse back to the port that's not working, there should now be a mouse device with an error in the device manager. Use the keyboard to select it and press SHIFT+F10, now select uninstall. Plug out the mouse and plug it back in, it should reinstall itself.

Can't seem to get this to work for my diamondback 3g. Peaks out at 125Hz, every time.

I had no issues with the install or anything. Just won't work. Also, the program seems to think my keyboard (razer blackwidow ultimate) is a mouse. Not sure why, but I figured I'd just throw that out there lol.

This sample rate increase works great. I'm handicapped and use a touch pad mouse. As a recent the wire got a short but ever since I got a new one small movements we register nothing on to a larger movement would register it. I had all settings to most sensitive. Now that I increased the sampling rate to 500 things seem to be working great. The sample rate checkers don't register any higher, but things are working better.

How did you guys with the Razer Diamondback get it above 125 Hz? I don't have the 3G version, just the original Diamondback with red leds. I was able to get it down to 62/31 Hz in case the hidusbf driver wasn't working, but getting it above 125 Hz is impossible on Win 7 Ultimate 64.

Win7 Home 64-bit, Build 7601
When I followed the steps, I ended up with an hidusbf.sys file in my SysWOW64 drivers folder, but not in System32. If I look at the properties, it says signed by NGO. I tried copying that file over to the System32 drivers folder like someone mentioned, but that hasn't done anything.
No problems with USB ports not working.. no errors at all, just polling rate still at 125Hz.

When you connect the mouse can you see it in the device manager? You could uninstall it there and select the option to have the driver removed. IDK really, just a thought.
Of course, a fresh windows install will surely help ya
Posted by pjm77 on June 9th, 2009, 07:31 PM
It's not gonna work, this mouse works fine in every other USB port except two mentioned (got 5 in total in my notebook), so it's not a driver issue. This hidusbf affected these USB ports somehow, even if the driver itself was not installed (I did a search for hidusbf.sys on my whole system partition and none was found). Fresh install would probably help but it's not an option for me now, just lost a weekend to set up the new system two weeks ago and can't afford that again timewise.
Posted by pjm77 on June 9th, 2009, 10:42 PM
blah, blah, blah... Contrary to what I thought the method you proposed helped instatly. The mouse connected to the "wrong" port showed up as an unknown hid device. Uninstalling it from device manager and plugging it again solved the problem, second USB port started working right away also. Thanks a million!
