CPU: C2D e6300 @ 2,10ghz
GPU: XFX 7800gs Extreme AGP
M/B: Asrock conroe865PE
RAM: G.E.I.L. 2gb ddr 400
PSU: Fotron 400 W (12v/20A)
Default Review: Asrock conroe865PE

I bought recently a new mobo + proc.

There arent any good review for this mobo so i will try to do one.. maybe not as detailed as you would like but i will do my best:

First i had to flash it to 1.50 caus otherwiste it wouldnt be working with the core 2 duo.
The asrock flash programs are very user friendly and out of my experience safe to use (its nevers 100% safe afcourse but it went smoothly).

So, installed everything and all worked well, first i noticed that my VGA was running on higher temps then usual but this was no problem.. with my old mobo if i had like 60C texture problems would accure in games like oblivion.. now its running 60C without problems.

The voltage option are:
DDR : low Auto High
AGP: Low high
FSB/CPU: low auto high

I put everything on high, works stable but i dont see any change in preformance.

A big negative point of this mobo is the FSB limiter: 300 max, so from 266 - 300 isnt that much (1,86 - 2,10), the e6300 can handle much more so this isnt nice.

another negative thing is the ddr ratio.. im not an expert on this subject but standard is 2:3, so people with high fequentie ram will have a decrease of speed.. you can flash the bios to force it to 1:1 but when i tried this the PC had several boot problems and after turning PSU off/on and then started PC it started but it was instable as hell.. gues that the 1:1 bios version i installed wasent well suporting the e6300.

asrock has released a new bios version: 1.60 for users with a card like mine.. i havent had any problems but it was supposed to solve some problems for cards like mine.

Again for people with ddr and agp who dont want to upgrade to pci-e and have a budget of +- 200$ you can buy this board + pentium D or core 2 duo.

i can reccomend it.

nice review

i have a question for you
can you understand company like asrock ???
i cant
they are building same mbo but with other name and other cpu support lol
are they stupid or what???
it would be smarter to update bios but nooooo they need to change ****ing name and send it to stores like new product LoL
this is one mbo with 3 names:
1:http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.as...l-880Pro&s=775
2:http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.as...ual-VSTA&s=775
3:http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.as...ual-VSTA&s=775

sorry havent read your post as well as i should.. you already said that.. ok, but maybey a new mobo with a support that is directly intergraded costs less money or whatever.. they probally have a good reason for this.

or mayebey they just want to make money. but then again: asrock = asus and i think the company(s) is a good one.

they are a same mbo we have take a look on all of them
it have same chipsets and same equipment on it
and it have same error on it (with via chipset)
we have tested a FORTRON 700W (type Epsilon) on that mbos with Pentium D 930 and core duo cpu(e6300) with 2Gb ddr2 kingmax (667) and x1650Pro(pcie)
and we get low-med. performance and low voltage 11.37
this there mbos have same problem with voltages dont know why but its true
