Default Asus A8N32 sata port and memory problems

Hi,

I have had some problems with my new Asus A8N32-SLI motherboard.

The Raptors I bought seem to struggle with the nVidia Sata ports. I get an error message from WD diagnostics of either :0138 or :0139, what does DRQ not expected mean?
or time out??

Anyway.. I got it working on SATA 1 with the new ADFD 74 GB Raptor but the old ones wll only work on the one Silicone Image Port..

also.. with DDR 500 memory.. can't overclock the memory.. heck have trouble going above DDR 400

Anyone have any ideas

thinking..

1) be nice to know more.. how to make it work, etc

2) Should I quit and return it.

3) Refund and get a different board or replace

4) I would like board that allows packet sniffing and has better fan controls.. anyone know if the newer abit AT8 32X allows packet sniffing? i have an amd X2 for socket 939.. so choices are limited to socket 939.

Thanks,

Mike

I have to wonder, seeing as how I have a Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe, and DDR400 is tops for it..... I think your DDR500 is too much for the board, unless this is an AM2 Socket, then I know nothing....
