Thumbs down What NON-Sli board s939 is the best?

I am about to build my next comp and was thinking of either the An8 since I love the heatpipe design. The Epox or MSI board. I am not an overclocker stock type of person which board would be the best bet for the money?

DFI because of the best overclocking features.

A8N is great for overclocking too, no bugs at all, I have one and is awesome in that aspect(and is cheap). DFI is great too, I'll consider both mobos when I'll upgrade to SLI .

Thanks for the suggestions but SLI is something of just a marketing gimmick and people that buy 2 cards are only going to hurt all the normal people with budgets. Thats why who cares about SLI for an extra what 5fps? Definately not worth it for people who run games at real world resolutions not 1600 or 1920.

I've very happy with the board in my sig. However, if you're not ready to really learn about memory settings pick up a board from Asus.

Seriously, if you check out DFI Street look at their memory setting guide it's huge!!! It goes through, and explains all the different settings for the board.

I would go with ASUS, DFI, or MSI for anything that is motherboard, period! Whether it is SLi or not, you are getting a great deal! I currently have the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum and it is a great board..

I like the way the memory sits on the board, cooled by air flow, jet black in color, and just the generic design. It runs smooth, has its own form of DynamicOverclockingTechnology and Cool&Quiet. I'm mainly a stock person as well, let the board do what it wants to, and simply set it to performance settings.

In the end, it's totally up to you. I would recommend looking up a few Socket939 comparisons to see how the boards perform against eachother, plus several independent reviews once you can tear the list down to a few that you really like. Than you get into the pros and cons. Make your purchase a good one, dropping $100 is a big deal, especially on your motherboard!
