Post Help please

Hello everyone

I got a problem with my new comp which i just put together.

First off, when start up my computer sometimes it will start for like 3 seconds, and then turn off, and continue to do this 2-10 times before it will start up.

Second, when it does start it, i usually get this error:

"The system has experienced boot failures because og overclocking or changes of voltage.
Last setting in BIOS setup may not coincide with current H/W states

Current CPU speed: 2.66GHz
Current BCLK: 133 MHz
Current Memory speed: 1066MHz"

I tried running BIOS in fail safe, and Optimized, to no avail, even tried clearing CMOS. i got a button to clear it, on the backside of my comp.

This is my current computer

OS: Windows Vista 64 bit
Mobo: Gigabyte EX58-UD4P
CPU: Intel i7 core 920
GPU: ATI Radeon HD4870 1GB GDDR5
PSU: Cosair 550W
RAM: 2x2GB Cosair DDR3 10666/1333MHz

( also my specs are in my sig, and below my post count )

Additional info:

Mobo got dual BIOS, i dont know if that is any help.
Why is it saying Memory speed 1066MHZ, when i go to BIOS and put it on "auto" it says 1066" when i set it to "10x" it sets to 1333, but i still get the wierd boots, and the eror message.

anyone know how to solve this? or have an idea what could be wrong?
Any help would be very much appreciated since im not very good at all this stuff myself.

If you need more info, please dont hesitate to ask, ill answer as fast as possible.

Thank you

Nubby

* If it’s possible, flash the motherboard BIOS with the latest version.
* Look at the motherboard’s guide and make sure that you didn’t miss anything special.
* Take it apart and rebuild it again.
* Test your devices one by one on a different computer.
* Make sure you plugged in the EPS power connector (4-pin).
* Make sure you have the correct settings in the BIOS.
* Make sure your memory support i7.

*i will try to flash BIOS

*im sure i didnt miss anything, i've reassembled it several times
*Same as above
*i tried putting most the old parts on the new motherboard and its still the same, it starts up and then immediatly shuts down, and do so several times.
*its an 8pin on this motherboard, and its in.
*as i said in post, i tried running in fail safe, optimized nothing helps
*i checked that before i bought it, 10666/1333MHz

i think my only option is to try and flash BIOS then, i will have to read up on that since i have no idea how its done.

i will return when its done, and if it solved the problem.
