Default Having problems and thought you could help?

Hi guys;

First I wanted to say hello and thaks to anyone who can help me in advance. I am trying to build a new system with the iteams above and a his1650 videocard, as well as 2 gs of crucial. After I load xp pro everything is fine until I start to load the p35 chipsets off the cd or intel web. After doing the update at the end I get an "unknown error" diag box and restart the machine. Then windows will ask to restart from a previously good point at startup and windows will come up. I will then get a taskbar and icons with the background scene of the rolling hills.After the final program loads the taskbar and icons will just vanish. I do get task mngr doing a 3 finger salute and kind of navagate around that way. It will also startup under safe mode but it would be helpful for the rest to work. The only other things that I have loaded were the lan driver and the dsl cd. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

hi and welcome to ngohq

if you dident do this:
why dont you try to reinstall OS
or you can also remove all drivers from safe mode (like lan driver, chipset driver, gpu driver and audio)

Default Thanks for the reply gen.Rage1991hrv

Loaded os 4x. I cant remove the chipset driver because it always comes up withan "unknown error" when installing it wether I use cd or web site. Since it doesn't finish loading it can't be removed then. Could the chipset be faulty? I used intel chipset identifier program to get correct version but still have problem listed above. Thanks again for any help you might have. I am now 50% grey hair and sucking a jd bottle over this.
