Question about HT link

Well as you know i have an amd athlon 6000+ with an ht link of 1000 mhz... well my question is this one ... i read on somes websites if you syncronise your memory speed with your bus/ht etc ... it's will give you better performances

So my question is ... i put my ht link at 800 mhz or i put it at normal 1000 mhz ?

That tip is for inferior FSB based systems. Don't be afraid to go higher if your motherboard can take it and you're overclocking. The nvidia nforce overclocking guide specifically mentions the benefits/limits of this. AM2+ motherboards are going to have a HT of 2GHz btw. :droolz:

Well but on everest it's say to me my HT link are only of 1000 mhz :O

Yes that's because 1Ghz (5*200) is the default Hypertransport for AM2. AM2+ has twice that amount for insane bandwidth between everything.

Well if i check that they pass with the K8 architecture with 3 differents sockets ! ... Well ... we Can't talk about intel with netburst lol

I think I've posted this a thousand times: AM2 and AM2+ are cross compatible. Even AM3 will work in AM2+.

sorry UNIX but i dident look on all your posts
but if i remember correctly amd have give a Inquirer a story that they are not sure that am2+ will be able to work on am2 boards, but on am2+ board you can run am2
correct me if i am saying something wrong

i mod
intel have made a jump from 478 to 775 and they stay on it until 2009 (i think)
netburst lol you cant talk about a cpu architecture or its components LOL
is is stupid because dose two aren't similar

i think i will wait for am2+ and buy it
(unix and imod if new amd cpu show less performance than intel cpus you two will buy me a best intel cpu on market

Anyways at the end you say to put my ht link at 1000 that's all the ppl here says? ... or it's my board dosent support 2000mhz of ht link? idk

because here at my retailer the specs that's write it's suposed to be 2000

AMD ATHLON64 X2 6000+ 3.00G/2000/2M/AM2

And on everest it's says it's @ 1000

Please for the love of all that is pure, buy an Intel. All of you. Any Intel CPU is 10x better than any AMD CPU. In fact we AMDers have to make do with just 1-2fps in all our games, but we keep buying AMD because we're stupid and can't see the benchmark charts in front of our eyes lolz.
