Default installing a second videocard

Hi to All!

Iīm wounder if is plausible to install a second videocard of another brand (ex. ATI variant). I have a old flightsim Janeīs WW2 Fighters and I have an awfull graphic with black streak all over the sky. All other fligthsim I have, running fine on my current card.

My MB is Gigabyte 965P DS4 with two Pcex16 slots, no SLI. Intel Core2 Dual 2,4GHz 2GB DDR2/800MHz memory

Leadtek GF 8800GTS 320MB, PCex16 Bluestorm2 500W PSU.

I think to switch the contact to the monitor betwin the videocards if it plausible, but maybe I have a conflikt with the drivers ?

First, if you have an 8800GTS 320mb, change it in your config to the left.

(I think to switch the contact to the monitor betwin the videocards if it plausible, but maybe I have a conflikt with the drivers ?)

And what exactly do you mean by that?

And no you cannot install two video cards in the same system. I mean you will not be able to have multi-GPU you will only be able to add some displays.

Hi IModIntel

Well- I supose use one videocard at the time, I have only one monitor so I have to switch the connector from the monitor to the card in use, if it plausible.

When canīt I not use two videocards on the system ? I have two PCex16 slots.

Iīm not so good at computers, so I allways ask the experst on NGOHQ.

if you have two pcie slots why dont you put a two same grafic cards and run them on sli???
your mbo supports sli but you would need to put modded driver to run them on sli

Hi gen.Rage1991hrv !

At the moment, I donīt need a dublicant of my current videocard.

My problem is, I canīt play the Janeīs WW2 Fighter with the GF8800GTS card.

Maybe I have to change to an ATI version . Read over at WW2 Fighters site, many of the folks there have the same problems with Nvida card for PCiexpress

On my older computer I have a GF 7600GT 256MB agp and the WW2 Fighter sim running fine with nice graphic.

Best Regard

go with what works, but wait before you go throwing money into another video card, try the NGO drivers.

what operating system do you have, have you tried to run the WW2 fighters in compatability mode?

Hi kYdizzle !

Yes I have the latest NGO Driver: 6.14.11 v2 158.22. My OP system is XP Home SP2 OEM. No help to configurate the WW2 Fighters to Windows 98 or to OpenGL.

The folks over at WW2 Fighters website, have the same problems with NvidiaGF 8800 series. Maybe is a dual core issue or driver issue ? I donīt know.

Best Regards

why do all ppl say dualcore is problem for games??
iff you have a game that does not support dualcore it runs on one cpu, otherwise the broker should solve the "problem";
