What ever happend to the ac97 modded drivers that ngo where going to do. The Nvidia ones are great, but would still like to see oned for the realtek ac97 (alc850).

I have a "alc 850" based m/b and I currently use the RealTek drivers. But I have some questions:

1. Can I use the UAJ on the nvidia driver (Universal Audio Jack, i.e. line in can change to line out so I can connect both my speakers and headphones)

2. Soundquality, playing usual media files?

3. Anyone with experiences from these drivers: kX Project? ( http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?skip=1)

KX Project drivers work with creative card only.
ut yes they have a better sound quality and a programmable fx engine so u can make yur own effects.

i have ALC 850 and i use the realtek drivers with nvidia i had some trouble and noise
since then i installed the Realtek it all works ok
