Lightbulb Install new NvMixer with the Advanced facilities.

If you are irritated because all the bugs in the modded mixer but still wants to use the facilities on the Advanced page here is the solution:
Don't use the modded mixer! Use NVidias new NvMixer v451 instead. It works both for W98 and WXP.

NVidias newest NvMixer is included in nForce Audio Driver 4.62a. This mixer has all the facilities on the modded mixers Advanced page. If you set them free. The Audio-firewall is included too but as in the modded mixer nothing on the Firewall page actually works, so I have decided not to set them free.
The new mixer version is 451 (Modded v450) and I think the sound of some of the Advanced facilities is a bit better than in the modded version (if you even can get it to work).
INSTALL:
Start to uninstall the NvMixer on your system. Restart.
Then unpack the 4.62_nforce_audio_winxp2k_international_whql.exe to folder \\SuperMixer. Restart.
Install the new mixer simply by starting the Setup.exe in the \\SuperMixer\AudioUtl. Restart.
Then make a little txtfile with this 3 lines and save it as nVidiaHidden.reg

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NVMixer\Settings]
"ShowAdvanced"=hex:01,00,00,00
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Load nVidiaHidden.reg into the Registry. That's it.
Now you have the newest advanced NvMixer. And it works.
By the way. If you use WXP change the line REGEDIT4 to REGEDIT5. Which is used in WXP i think.

EDIT:
If you want an extra eq say Flat+6db, just copy the lines under here into a txt-file and name it Flat+6db.reg.
And then load it into the Registry:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NVMixer\Eq\Flat+6db]
"HardwareIndex"=dword:0000001b
"NumBands"=dword:00000009
"Band0"=hex:21,2a,d1,40
"Band1"=hex:21,2a,d1,40
"Band2"=hex:21,2a,d1,40
"Band3"=hex:21,2a,d1,40
"Band4"=hex:21,2a,d1,40
"Band5"=hex:21,2a,d1,40
"Band6"=hex:21,2a,d1,40
"Band7"=hex:21,2a,d1,40
"Band8"=hex:21,2a,d1,40

Default Where to DL?

Where can I download NvMixer v451? I googled it and I can't find an individual DL for it.

Will it work w/ nF3 boards?

The registry entries for this hack is wrong. I tried the above and it didn't work so I found the correct ones on a different form.

@ HKCU\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NVMixer\Settings

Add Values
ShowAdvanced = 1 (01 00 00 00)
ShowFirewall = 1 (01 00 00 00)

They can be either REG_DWORD or REG_BINARY. The binary representation is in parentenses. Here is the contents of a registry file you can use to import it in if you want. I used REG_DWORD for the entries.

Code:
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NVMixer\Settings]
"ShowAdvanced"=dword:00000001
"ShowFirewall"=dword:00000001

Just notized that someone who calls himself shinji supposedly knows a lot of what works and what doesnt work
Here is a direct export from my Registry. And I should be the best to know if it works (on my system
Remark: A lot of entries in the Registry works both using DWORD or HEX values.
Yes actually you can se this in the following direct export.
Kind regards
