had a similar problem when i got my 5.1 i had rear far less than front althouth i put front on 1% and rear on 100... that was sick

For music i only use foobar player
It has a highly configurable digital Xover

tried that foobar player, the dsp effect doesnt work with the latest version and it has no visible options to augment the rear volumes at alll so its kinda useless, atlest jetaudio has a wide rear option that boosts then a little, still not enough though
