#2 | | Site Staff | You should wait for ATI R600 instead of buying X1950 Crossfire. Oh, and yeah, 22" Widescreen LCD would be a better choice. |

P.s when is R600 released?

Even AVG or Avast are better than norton, and they are free! Norton is a resource hog and so kaspersky is, but kaspersky has a bigger virus data base, and can be tweaked for less stressing ( the option under file protection tab, check scan only modifed files), nod32 is great too, its light and is updated every day. |

#5 | | Golden Member | | RAM: 4096 Corsair 800 XMS2 | | yeah your absolutely right about the anti-virus, now that i think about it, ill probably get Nod 32 or something instead, the only reason i was gonna get it was because they were goin to
gimme a discount on it if i bought it with the rest of the package, ...hmm yesss **** the Norton....
the problem is I may have to wait ***kin ages for R600, no-one relly knows when it will be released, & it will probably be damn expensive when it finally is available too...i have a problem/choice to make here...

An alternative would be to go for SLI instead and get 2 8800 GTS.....?.....(2 8800 GTX is over my budget with below spec).....

#8 | | Professional Member | I dont know about r600 prices, but you dont need to get a crossfire to enjoy it, a single card should be enought to do the job for now. If you dont wanna wait buy a cheap video card and then when they release r600 you sell your old card or give it for those who needs it |

#9 | | Golden Member | | RAM: 4096 Corsair 800 XMS2 | | lol...yeah i don't really wanna wait ..but ive waited years for a new (top-spec) pc so i suppose i shouldnt mind waiting a bit longer ...ive wanted it for so long im gonna make sure its purrrfect.....
However, i AM tempted to just go ahead and get the two x1950's in crossfire and then sell ONE when R600 is released and I can afford it.........but will i be able to then hook up a new R600 to the existing x1950 and run them in crossfire?.....that would be cool......
