Default 6800 and half life episode one problems

when i play half life episode one the graphics are lousy,I am stumped as to why.I have a pentium4 3.2 and 3 gigs of ram .My card is a evga 6800 with pipeline tweaked to 16 and vertical 6. Am i doing something wrong with my machine. thanks for any help.also would it help if i got the evga 7600 gs with 512 ram for 179.00,thanks again

A couple of quick questions mate:

1) What viddy driver are you using .. and

2) Thats a pretty heavy duty setup ya got there can you provide some more details by using say SISandra or something so we can try and help you out more

You could try the NGO Optimized drivers here and see if they make a difference:

yeah,

like mac daddy said, try the ngohq drivers and see if they make a difference.

i think they way better then the omega zeropoint crap ones. Since i installed the ngo drivers im experiencing alot better fps rates and image quality.

Smile fixing 6800

last nite i went back to 12 pipes 5 vet and was able to overclock card and when i tried halflife it was amazing how the graphics suppose to look.so in summery i guess my card has to be left alone,thanks again al
