Default Graphic Lag When Playing Game

I notice that everytime i run some 3D games my graphic will become lag but some 3D games don have the weird part is this.It is like slow motion then fast then slow again.I'm using 9200SE previously playing the game have no problem but after change to 9600SE i encounter this problem.
I already change my 9600SE once, Add more Fan,Add 512Mb Ram Card and download the latest driver but the problem still occur.
U can view my System Spec here:

And now i juz uninstall my previous drive and install NGO ATI Optimized Driver v1.6.6 with Standard one still lagging when playing the game.

Sounds like something is hogging your system resources and CPU. What are you running in the background ... ie server etc ?

Ctrl Alt Del and check processes in your task manager and let us know

Hmmm .... two things I noticed ...

1) war.exe is using a lot of memory

2) system idle process 97 percent of CPU

svchost.exe is a Windows thing its normal ...

Try this:

Go too Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services

1) If your running SP2 shut down messenger service

2) Shut down SSDP Discovery Service and Universal Plug and Play

Cheers and feedback

Seems you also have norton antivirus service going on.. Close all antivirus services, and all other unneccesary services while gaming. Update latest drivers for sound, gfX, chipset, directx. Search for ad/spyware with spybot or some other spyware program. Defragment youre harddrives on dayly, or atleast weekly basis. Make sure you have enough size on youre pagefile etc. etc...

I upgraded from a 9600 Pro just over a year ago. I was enjoying some game play but upgraded to the X800 XL. What a difference!

Anyway, I had that 9600 Pro long enough to know that you HAVE to have Fast Writes ON for it to perform well.

Also, since that card has 256 MB of VRAM, you should install the ULTRA version of the NGO 1.6.6 drivers.

And, with 1 GB of System RAM, you can try changing the AGP Aperture setting. Try 128 and 256...whichever one is the highest your mobo BIOS supports.

If you're getting stuck at 640x480 15bit, it sounds like the drivers didn't install properly. Uninstall them, go to Device Manager and REMOVE both instances of the card under Display Adapters.

Reboot and let Windows redetect your video card. Then, install the Ultra version of the NGO 1.6.6. again.

To get into the BIOS you'll need [usually] to press the DEL key during the initial POST screen. Some BIOS call this "Settings".

Since BIOS menus vary, it's difficult to tell you exacly where the AGP Aperture setting would be. It's usually located in Advanced or Integrated devices or some such designation. Just browse through the separate pages and be sure to scroll up and down to see all the options.

Uh wtf? If 97% of the CPU is being used by the System idle Process that's usually a good thing... (Well not really, it should be using 99%) This really shows how much you know about computers. Also the reason you're experiencing "throttling" in the games you play is because a 9200/9600 sucks ass now, I threw my 9600xt away it was so useless. It's either that or you're on a highspeed connection that keeps getting it's speeds bumped every year and you have a very very old cable/DSL modem. And just as a side note to the admin: I don't care if your dumbass bans me, your forum looks like shit on 1600x1200 but you probably wont notice since you're most likely viewing it on a 15" monitor @ 1024x768.
