Default Problems with nocturne and metal gear solid 2

my card is 7800 gs xfx extreme and i am having problems with this two games. first of all in mgs sometimes i can't see what is going on everything becomes gray i can see that there are objects there but all they are grey or black (figure of characters and objects can be seen) problem with nocturne is like this i copy and paste it from another site 'in 32 bit the problem is that you cannot see characters but you can see their shadows everything else is fine. in 16 bit the character is fine but everything else is messed up.

Sure it might mean metal gear solid to you and your cult but in future don't expect everyone to be in the same boat as you.
You're like: I was playing TQ and suddenly I remembered that my friend wanted to play homm online but he was actually playing dmomm so I played trem instead.
See how lame that sounds?

The usual stuff would be to update the games with latest patches, get latest drivers, bios etc.
My advice for now:
Run 3DMark 2006/05 on it and see what happens. That should make diagnosis easier.
