I am trying to connect my s video out to my vcr-speaker system, which is connected to my tv, yet, nvidia display does not detect the connection to my vcr. I had an ati x700 installed before, and it had no problem detecting this connection to the vcr. I figure this is a problem with nvidia.

Is there any way to remedy this situation, because i would like to use the vcr to record video off my computer.

I have the same card but no such problem when connecting to TV. I haven't tried a VCR but it's the same thing no? Try updating drivers and changing cable.

I use the s video cable and connect it to the yellow composite video cable to the vcr, but still no detection. All the cables were provided with the vid card.

I did update the drivers, still no success.

I am able to connect the video card's s-video out directly to the tv and it works, but it does not work through the vcr-to the tv connection.

I decided to plug in the hdtv connector to the s-video and used the blue connector with the yellow video cable to the vcr and it finally worked.
