once more problems with 7800GS

hello

everybody knows that there are many problems with the 7800gs.

now i find a new one thats related to the old one..
the screen freezes and everything were kinda solved with the new drivers BUT! only if the bios agp setting where set to 64mb.. when i put it on 256mb and start playing the screen freezes return.. on 64mb no problems.. kinda strange.

does anyone have some news about this issue?

hold on,i dont get it..
u had 256mb in bios,and u had those problems..
when u changed back to 64,the problems are sloved ?
is that correct ?....

it works for me,.. but it shouldnt be so.. it should work just fine on 256.. but when i put it on 256 all those well known problems show up

wired,maybe u need to update ur bios ?

the f*cked thing is that there is no bios update for mine. the last one was released in 2003 0_o...

I tried updating the agp chipset it helped, can put it to 256 now but the preformance is now 20% lower then it should be.. Counter Strike source had a fps of 40-70 on my rig when i first got the card.. then all those stupid issues came up, i tried ngo drivers and that helped alot but the temp is to high.. so back to the normal 91.45, worked fine but only with 64 :S.. now i get fps of 20-45..

I think im gonna bring it back to the shop but then the stupid thing is that i cant use my pc for maybey 2 weeks or so..

kinda of a dillema for me..
