i got this pretty low setup:
2,8ghz pentium
1gb ddr (1)
7800gs agp
im gonna buy a new rig:
3800 X2 am2
1gb ddr 2
and im still not shure about the vga card but i dont have lots of money to spend so will a 7600gt (pci) make much difference with this setup? and does the 7600gt have the same shader models and stuff?
ty,
shifty

Stay with your 7800GS. If you dont want him i will happy to take him from you.
Thats the best AGP card... i think...
And if you want 7600GT you need a PCI-E slot.
I dont think you have AGP and PCI-E slot's in the same mother board.

but my quetion inst answered yet.. i have read some reviews in the meanwhile and i yhink the 7600gt is faster..
the reason why i aint keeping my 7800gs is because my cpu sucks (pentium 2.8ghz) and i really wanna upgrade to pci-e..
i have decided btw to go for intels e6300 dual core 2.

#6 | | Stuck in "April 1st" | | M/B: Asus Rampage Formula | | | RAM: G.Skill 2x2GB PI Black | | 7600 can play oblivion at 1280x1024 as long as you tweak the ini and maybe a few options such as tree distance and turn grass off.

#10 | | Newbie | | CPU: Core 2 Extreme QX6700 | | | RAM: 8 GB Kingston PC8000 | | If you're going for a new graphics card, pick the PCI-Express (if you have a slot on your motherboard for it) over the AGP because PCI-Express is basically newer and faster. The newer cards are all going PCI-E so go that way, if not for the performance, for the future compatibility. |
