will i benefit from taking of my heatsink (backplate) on my x800gto ?? becuase it burns my fingers n makes my pc like a oven i have got good airflow but i dnt fink tht peice of metal is doing any favours !

If you take the backplate off the back of the card the gpu cooler will fall off, and believe me, you don't want that to happen.
