Hi fellas, I'm trying to update the BIOS of my vid card: XFX GeForce 5200, I have the new version but here is the problem:

I'm booting from DOS, type on CMD: NVFLASH -f xxxx.rom (version 4.41 Nvflash)
I get this message: Checking for supported EEPROM...
EEPROM man. ID
devcode (55,AA): UNKNOWN
Error: Supported EEPROM not found.

The same process but using NVFLASH version 5.13 and the same message error.

any ideas? I know that I CAN erase the EEPROM using -e, but I don't want to do that, so any other ideas?

I think that NVFLASH by Nvidia doesn´t support this particular vid card, please give me some ideas...

Pd Don't ask me why am I updating the Bios Vid card file... I'm not going to answer that..

Not enough info. Sounds like you wanna flash mod it to a different version or something. Search for a different bios from another maker. If your not doing that then be sure that the bios vers. is specifically for YOUR card exactly. All you need to do is put the new rom and your rom currently + whatever flash proggy your using onto a floppy and boot the os from floppy --bingo, new bios. Take a look at the read me file in NV flash or whatever. Hope this helps!
