goto www.drivercleaner.net and dl the program. uninstall all your ati software through add/remove programs. then reboot your machine into safemode and run drivercleaner, this will remove every trace of ati/omega/ngo/dna drivers. then reboot again and install your new drivers.

Also dont forget to reinstall your chipset drivers after ever video driver upgrade.

Driver cleaner works wonders with fully cleaning drivers. Use it as wiskerbizkit says.

eh?,... wtf.. you should never have to reinstall the chip set drivers after a video driver upgrade...

unless you use driver cleaner to remove ALL nvidia type drivers... one reason why i don't use it,...

detonator destroyer still works fine....

just precautionary i've had it happen a couple times where smartgart couldn't initialize, granted that was on a via chipset. but its pretty annoying when it happens.

Sure if you are still using Win98. Why are you still using Win98?
