Default Radeon 7000 problem, please help.......

I have a Radeon 7000, AGP chipset, 64 MB video card and have been experiencing a problem for quite some time. It is as follows: at random times my display gets flawed- it becomes stripped in small triangles and flashes. I cannot determine when exactly it happens but I have one occasion when it happens absolutely every time- when I start my MS Office Word and start typing a document, especially when I start to scroll... . It also happens when I am using Skype and start chating with a contact and again this problem occurs when I start to scroll. This problem occured several months ago when I updated my video card to a newer driver, then I tried with a NGO optimized driver but the problem still perseveres. I assume the problem is not hardware- related. I hope I have explained my problem successfully and would be extremely grateful to anybody who can help me. Thanks in advance.

the first question would be do you have the most current drivers installed for your motherboard chipset which will include AGP drivers

Well, currently I am with NGO's ATI optimized driver v2.5.6 but I do not have the latest AGP driver which I am going to do in due time; I did a clean install. Thanks for the support and I will be glad if more people do help me.

And which category in System Devices is supposed to represent my AGP driver ? From my motherboard driver support site is said to be PCI-PCI bridge but the closest category I find to this one is PCI-ISA bridge. What should I do ?

Vga driver is the driver of the Video card itself

AGP driver is an optimised driver for the agp port the card is in

did you install your motherboard drivers

Pci standard Pci to Pci bridge is what your AGP detects as when the agp driver isn't installed

i would suggest installing SP2 for XP as it has most agp drivers included
