Default PX6600 GT TDH Problems

Hi all,
I have been reading this forum for about 6 months now as i like to know how to fix things... this is one of the bes sources i have come across, great job guys.

Now onto my problem. I recently built a new PC. Spec's:
AMD 3000+ 64 bit
RS480M2
(http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p...M2-IL&class=mb wanted it for the onboard gfx -_-)
1gig of ram
Wireless network card (currently no drivers instlled and is disabled)
Thermaltake 480watt tru power.
80gig Sata HDD (converted to ata as i dont have the cable to connect it to my board atm.... )
and a leadtech PX6600 GT TDH.
running Win XP pro and sp2.

This is my gaming rig... but at the moment i have allot of problems with games. Whenever I start up Counterstrike Source and goes past the loading screen no probs untill it gets to the game. It then procedes to lock up for about a minute or so, will unlock for about 2 secs then lockup for another 30 secs. If im not disconected from the server it will let me play. Sometimes i can only see guns runing around in mid air (kinda hard to shoot at people if you can only see their guns...) and sometimes all of my textures are buggered up and i can see through walls and other wierd stuff. If i exit that server and jump into another withought exiting the game it dosent lock up at all. Sometimes it will also just lockup then restart for no reason that i can determin.
I also play World of Warcraft and have similar issues (locks up for a min, unlocks for a few secs, then locks up again for a bit. Restarts which seem to happen allot more often then in CS).
I downloaded the demo of BF2 and have another problem i havent seen before... Besides the locking up on entry into a server, I seem to get what i can only describe as some kind of screen tearing... sometimes its fine, sometimes i can't see a thing as theres massive wierd coloured streaks on my screen and my fps goes to like 2...
I am thinking the card may have a problem with it as when i tried to install the drivers that came with it the software said "device not found, maybe not a leadtech product...". It also wont let me flash the BIOS on it as it cant detect the card.

Onto things i have tried:
New PSU (was a generic 350 watt)
contacted the manufaturer by email, got a whole heap of things to try, none of them worked, they told me to send it to the retailer i brought it off for testing... my retailer went out of business...... no reply after that one....
Swapping/removing my ram chips
driver cleaner on Nvidia's latest drivers
nvidia's beta drivers
nvidia's 66 series drivers
omega drivers
your drivers
reformat
reformat again with a different windows disk
yelled at it allot... Im out stuff to do and about to throw my computer through my window... I need help before i go totally insane... thanks in advance guys.

Well try to find someone with a PCIe or a PCI card. Maybe a shop or a nice person you may know could lend you a card to check out.

Well i took it to a computer store to get tested and after for days they tell me it's ready to pick up. So i turn up thinking that it's all fixed and they tell me "you where right, something is wrong with your card..." -_- they tried a bunch of other cards and they run fine.... turns out i just got a dud brought a new one, waiting for it to come into stock... hopefully i will get the other one repaired and start saving for another SLI mobo... Don't know if it would be worth it or not. Long story short, turns out i got screwed over, but thanks for the suggestions

Just thought i would update you guys.

I ended up ordering a new card (same make and model). After being told it would be in the next day or 2, then getting it a week and a half later I was most unhappy. I get home, put the card it, it auto installs, restarts, jump into World of warcraft and no lock up!!!! yey!!!! so after a few days of running with only a couple of minor problems (restarted twice when i exited warcraft, locked up twice during game play) I thought everything was sweet, I jump into BF2, turn my graphics to high and jump into a server. This time it jumped straight in with no lock up and i was most pleased. After a bit i noticed that it would lock up for about 5 secs then it would be fine again... happens every minute or so and i have no idea what the problem is...

Could I have ANOTHER faulty card? or is it somethig else perhaps??

P.S. The new card i brought had a different board, capacitors and version number... the old one was made in tiwan and the new one was made in China.... so much for the same card....
